Global Project Manager, Christy Norcross, CMP
Christy Norcross joins Conference Direct with over 10 years experience as a conference and event professional. Christy started her career as a Convention Services manager in the largest hotel-convention center in North Carolina. From there, she moved into the non-profit sector, working as the only meeting planner for an association management company managing over 10 associations. In 2002, Christy was the convention manager for the American Institute of Architects National Convention in Charlotte, NC, the largest convention the city had ever had to date and is currently the Convention Manager again for the AIA 2010 National Convention in Miami. In 2003, Christy moved into corporate meeting planning as a senior meeting and event planner for Wachovia, the 4th largest bank in the US. At Wachovia, while planning all aspects of meetings from budget creation and management to event and travel logistics, Christy also worked closely with the marketing department to raise brand awareness for the company. Christy earned her Certified Meeting Professional designation in 2003, was ConfereceDirect\\\'s Conference Management Rookie of the Year and a Top Producer in 2007. |
